To get the best performance from your candle, let the wax melt completely to the edges on each burn. This is especially important the first time the candle is lit. This can take several hours, but ensures that the wax will melt completely on future burns. The wick should be trimmed to 1/8" before lighting.
Please exercise caution when burning candles. Never leave a candle burning unattended. Place candle on a heat-safe surface well away from anything flammable. Containers will become hot, please allow to cool completely before handling.
About the designer:
Illuminati Waxworks was founded in 2014, in a not-quite-renovated Victorian in vibrant Oakland, California. With a background in interior design, Matthew has always appreciated the way that our surroundings influence our mood. For him, home fragrance is another layer that enhances your space, and in a very powerful way. Nothing sets a mood or evokes a feeling quite so much as scent, and their mission is to create scented soy candles as beautiful and unique as the places you use them. Their containers complement any space, from the most traditional cottage to the sleekest urban loft.
Making their candles ecologically friendly is just as important to them as making beautiful fragrances. All of their candles are made with clean-burning, American-grown soy wax. Their cotton & paper wicks are metal-free, and their scents are derived from a blend of essential oils and phthalate free, premium grade fragrance oils. All of their containers are reusable, as well as recyclable. Once your candle has burned to the end, simply wash the tin or tumbler with warm, soapy water and it’s ready for its next incarnation.
